CONVENTIONAL AND NON-CONVENTIONAL WOODY PLANTS IN

TURKEY: NUTRITIONAL,CURATIVE AND ECONOMIC PECULIARITES

Junipcrus

Pulp of cone contains 1.5% of ether oil (terpenoids), wax, resin, 49

%

of glucose,

organic acids, mineral salts, tannin, pigments, microelements ( Mn, Cu, Fe, AI) and

needles - ascorbic acid, carotenes, phytoncides wich finds they applications in

medicine and preparing vodka and liqueurs. The wood is hard and aromatic and its

used for manufacturing of different wood articles. Junipcrus picks out phytoncides in

6 times more than coniferous and 15 times more than deciduous species. Medical ,

merits of the Junipems are conditioned by the presence of ether oils and phytoncides

which have a pernicious effect on the pathogenic mikroflora.

All organs of plants contain the tannins. There are organic acids, flavonoids in the

roots; the acom contains tannins, starch, proteins, carbohydrates, fatty oils; the leaves

contain pigments, ascorbic acid, triteipenoids (tarakserol, glutinon, fridelin, fndelanon).

Quercus is the basis for a tanning production.

The back are used in medicine for external applications in case of dissenter, rachitis,

cholera, nephritis, stomatitis and ginecological and endocrine illnesses. Leaves extract

are used for colour of the wools and other materials,

The buds of Pinus contain the ethers oil, tannins, carotenes, vitamins C and K,

mineral salts, phitoncides, resin, naphtahinone; needles-alkaloids, ascorbic add, tannin,

ether oils, starch, carotene, phitoncides, resin, minerals.

The disinfectants, diuretics and expectorants are prepared using the buds. The needle

is used as a source of vitamins at hipovitaminosis and scurvy.

Turpentine are used as an outwardly tool for expectorant, antimicrobial and revulsive

tool, and also as pulmonary tuberculosis illness.

Young leaves and blossoms out of buds are used in food production of salad. The

flowers contain ether oils, glycosides, thiliatsin, geopiridin, tannin, carotene, ascorbic

acid, saponins, carbohydrates. Tilia is very valuables melliferous . Dried flowers are

used in medicine and perfumery and preparing liqueurs. The soft wood are used for

manufacturing of different wood articles.
