Middle Danube Plain, in a gravel quarry, near the ,,Plama“oil factory, the

village of Dissevitza, and in a small pond near the village of Yassen, 17.09.2000.

This species has a peculiar dissemination distribution with the help of birds

(ornithochory) and it is possible to increase its area in the future. The only

known locality for this rare species is in the Danube Plain, the old bed of

Ogosta River, the village of Hurletz (Vratza district) ( Коч е в , 1984).

Middle Danube Plain, in an oriental hornbeam wood, the locality ,,Baranitza“

near the village of Dragash Voivoda, with flowers, 31.03.2000.

This rare species is distributed near the town of Nikopol and the village

of Tzarevetz (Svishtov district) in silver lime forests. The locality in Svishtov

district is known from the literature data (Янев , 1964). All populations are

relict and isolated. The species is endangered in the region.

Middle Danube Plain, in xerotherm oak woods near the city of Pleven,

locality „Itzovo branishte"- 3 specimens were found during the period 1993-1998;

locality ,,Vurtilovetz“- the village of Lyubenovo - one specimen in May 2000.

It has been found in 1979 near the village of Kushin - locality „Arvanlijka"

1984). Single specimens have been identified in all places. This

is an evidence for the primary rarity of the species in the region.

Balkan Foothill region: in a dry pasture, in the vicinity of the village of

Slavyany, Lovech district, with fruits, 22.11.2001.

This rare species is known from many parts of the country ( Ст о я н о в ,

1966), but in single localities. According to Станев (1984) the distribution of

the species includes the Balkan Foothill region, the Stara Planina Mountain,

the Vitosha region, the Southern Pirin Mountain, the Rila Mountain, the

Western Sredna Gora Mountain, the Western Rhodope Mountain and the

Strandza Mountain. The locality near Lovech is the first one for this-part of

the country.
