This rare species was reported as new for the Danube Plain from the city
of Pleven, locality „Murtvata dolina“ (T z о n e v, 2000). The species is found
in the locality ,,Korukessy“, the village of Gradishte, near the Ossum River.
There are single specimens in both localities. The species is endangered but
it could probably be found in other parts of the region.

This rare species is common for the herbaceous communities on the hills
south from the towns of Nikopol and Svishtov - the villages of Lyubenovo,
Musselievo, Novachene, Zhernov, Evlogievo, Vubel, Dragomirovo, Hazhidi-
mitrovo. It is not threatened.

Middle Danube Plain, the town of Nikopol, on alluvial deposit along the
Danubian coast, with flowers and fruits, 09.2000.
Until now this rare species was known from single localities in the Balkan
Foothill region, Western Stara Planina Mountain, Central Rhodope Mountain
and the Thracian Plain (Ма р к о в а , 1995). It is enlisted in Annex I of the
Bern Convention and Annex IV of Council Directive 92/43/EEC.

bryag“ near Belene, with fruits and flowers, 18.10.2001.
It was found in the vicinity of the village of Zagrazden. This rare species
was known until now only from the Black Sea coast and North-Eastern
Bulgaria (П e e в, 1992). The new locality is the first one in the interior of the
country.
