NEW CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY ON

SPECIES COMPOSITION, SUBSTRATES AND

DISTRIBUTION OF BULGARIAN DISCOMYCETES

Abstract.

{HelveUa albella, H, castijera,

Hypoderma commune. Peziza varia

and

Spathularia rufa)

arc reported as new to Bulgaria. Information is given

about new substrata and new localities for 21 discomycetes species previously published in Bulgaria,

This paper is a new contribution to the study of species composition, substrata and

distribution of discomycetes fungi in Bulgaria. One genus -

Hypoderma

De Not. and

five species are reported as new to Bulgaria:

Spathularia rufa

(Helotiales),

HelveUa

albella, H. cosifera, Peziza varia

(Pezizales) and

Hypoderma commune

(Rhytismatales).

There were established 16 new substarata for 9 species and 20 new localities for 16

species discomycetes fungi, already published in Bulgaria. The correct names are

introduced for several species, reported in our mycological literature or deposited in the

Mycological Collection of the Institute of Botany, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

(SOMF) under other names. One species -

Peziza michela

is included in the Red list of

the rare and threatened plants and fungi in Bulgaria, wliich publication be coming.
