KEEPINGAND MULTI PLICATION OF POTATO SORTS COLLECTION

There are 27 sorts o f potato in collection. The plants o f potato are

cultivated on the nutrient medium o f Murasige - Jcuda in the regulated

temperature, hum idity and light conditions. In o rde rto length the period of

m icropropagation to 2-2,5 months and reduce source expense the TUR

preparation was added to the medium (0,4 - 0,5 m i/l). The results o f

investigation show different reaction o f potato sorts

in vitro

on the dose of

Kinetin. Increasing o f concentration from I - 4 m i/l promoted increasing o f

leafs number to 13 percent. We observed 100% viability o f plants in test

tube. If the temperature in summer is a favorable and quantity of precipitation

is enough, it is possible to produce plantlets in field conditions. Space isolation

and planting o f high fodder crops are required. Potato piantlets growing in

the field conditions as compared w ith m icrotubers show better growth,

development and productivity results. Control of virus contamination by the

IFA method estimates 100% absence o f potato viruses X, Y, F, L, M, A in

potato piantlets, microtubers and potato plants growing the first year in the

field conditions.
