многих видов овощей и фруктов, которые она
сама не производит, а импортирует из ЕС и
многих других стран.
Кроме того, по многим видам продукции
транспортные затраты на внутрироссийские
перевозки значительно выше, чем затраты на
импорт продукции из соседних стран в одних
регионах и экспорт в других. В этих случаях
политика встраивания в международное раз-
деление труда тоже может оказаться наиболее
приемлемой.
С учетом приведенных факторов место
России на агропродовольственной карте
мира может существенно поменяться, что
будет способствовать росту внешнеторго-
вого оборота, а также доходов российского
агропродовольственного бизнеса, сокраще-
нию затрат на приобретение продовольствия
населением.

POSITION OF RUSSIA ON THE WORLD AGRO-FOOD MAP

The role of Russia in world agriculture has changed significantly since early 1990-th. An objecƟve of this research is: (1) to assess the role of Russia in world agro-
trade and producƟon; (2) to reveal mechanisms of embedding Russia into the internaƟonal labor division and of using the Russian compeƟƟve advantages. Both
objecƟves are to increase the revenues of agricultural producers and to cut a share of food expenditures in family budgets. To assess Russian role in world agricul-
ture we chose indices to compare for Russia and 10 other main agricultural countries of the world. The indices were based on sums for export, import, producƟon,
agricultural value added and others. The countries — compeƟtors were selected by maximum agriculture value added in 2016. The list of countries included China,
India, the EU, the USA, Indonesia, Nigeria, Brazil, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey, Japan. We used data of Rosstat, Federal Customs Service of Russian FederaƟon, World
bank, FAO, Komtrade, Trademap, etc. The research revealed that the role of Russia in agricultural world map can be changed significantly. Growth of import and
export will promote growth of foreign trade turnover and Russian agro-food business income, abbreviaƟon of food costs in family budgets. The main peculiariƟes
and possibiliƟes of the modern Russian agro-food market are: smoothing seasonality in consuming, the right to choose a diet according to personal preferences
and budget, a possibility of raw materials import and finished goods export, the compeƟƟve seasonal advantages of Russia in producƟon, transit opportuniƟes
of Russia.
