CreaƟon of the opƟmal temperature and humidity condiƟons in agricultural storage faciliƟes and food storage rooms involves the accomplishment of special construc-
Ɵon and engineer measures. First and foremost, it is a case of insulaƟon system, which supplies the insulated enclosure of the construcƟon with the necessary thermal
resistance. For another thing, these are venƟlaƟon systems and other engineering systems (humidificaƟon, refrigeraƟon, drying, etc.), which provide and support
definite all-season and long-term storage condiƟons of agricultural producƟon. This paper concentrates on the scienƟfic research results and implementaƟon out-
comes of the items made of non-crosslinked polyethylene foam within the insulaƟon systems of framed as well as frameless construcƟons, used in the funcƟon of
storage premises, logisƟc objects, agricultural storage faciliƟes and food storage rooms. The pracƟcal aspects of polyethylene foam use, including the availability of
the seamless insulated enclosure by means of hot air welding (through the heat gun) of separate rolls have been parƟcularly emphasized in this arƟcle. Through the
example of the objects that have been implemented so far, the parƟculariƟes of the material mounƟng with the applicaƟon of mechanical fixaƟon of rolls within the
scope of different structural design of insulated objects have been regarded as well.
Keywords:
polyethylene foam, agricultural storage facility, thermal insulaƟon, venƟlaƟon, welding, mechanical fixaƟon, storage premises.
