Establishment of strawberry healthy stock plantations includes use of
biotechnology technigue. Influence of different cultivation factors such as
m inera l and hormonal composition, ilum ina tion conditions, term of
subcultivation on propagation rate, root formation, adventitious bud formation,
morphogenic callus production and shoot regeneration in isolated apices,
leaf discs and anthers of everbearing and newdayneutral strawberry cultivars
( Genewa, Profusion, Rapella, Brighton, Tribute, T rista r) were studied. The
most suitable nutrient medium were compositions worked out on the base
m ineral salts acording Murashige and Skoog and Lee and de Fossard. The
maximum propagation rate was otained by means of 6-benzylaminopurine (
0,75-1,5 m g /l) and thidiazuron (0,1-0,5 m g /l) application. The experiments
have shown the absence o f specific explant reguirements of tested cultivars
fo r defenite mineral compositions. Cultivar's peculiarities were preponderant
factor fo r micropropagation ability. Shoot regeneration in leaf discs culture
took place in general after callus formation but in some case the direct
regeneration was noticed. In anther culture the maximum plant regeneration
rate was registrated during three stages cultivation on medium with different
growth regulators (kinetin, 6-benzylaminopurine, indolylaceticacid, 2,4-D).
A t the rooting stage the shoots cultivating on red and blue light in the presence
o f auxins gave the roots much more faster in comparison with the shoots on
green and white light (50% of rooting was achived in two weeks). Obtained
during m icropropagation planting material o f new strawberry cultivars was
used fo r stock plantations establishment.
