The human beta-interferon gene transform ation was p ro c e e d e d by
treating
A.tumefaciens
o f tuber potato dises o f the "Dezire” variety followed
by regenerant selection on a substrate containing kanam icin.
The plants revealing high level o f neom icinphosphotransferase in the
third reproduction in m icroclonal propagation were planted in a greenhouse
and te sted fo r resistance against virus infection.
The plants were inoculated by mono culture o f separate viruses and by
the cultural m ixture o f 7 viruses. By imm unoferm entative analysis which
w as done in 3 w eeks and in a month and a half after inoculation it was
d e te rm ine d th a t transgenic plants are less receptive to virus infection
com pared w ith the control group o f plants.
The extent o f the virus spreading over a plant differed while analysing in
a month and a half.
