The transiƟon to a “digital” economy, outlined by the government of the Russian FederaƟon, as well as the introducƟon of informaƟon technologies in all spheres of
economic acƟvity, makes it expedient to automate the processes of territorial planning and forecasƟng, in this connecƟon, the issues of increasing the efficiency of
agricultural land use are extremely urgent. The main quesƟon when using these or those approaches in assessing the efficiency of agricultural land use is to take into
account the full range of factors of influence. A large number of works by Russian and foreign scienƟsts have been devoted to the problem of effecƟve use of agricultural
land. In connecƟon with a number of natural, climaƟc and socio-economic factors that cause deterioraƟon of the state of land and a reducƟon in soil ferƟlity in many
regions of the Russian FederaƟon, it is necessary to improve exisƟng and develop advanced scienƟfic and pracƟcal approaches to solving issues of effecƟve land use for
a more flexible and efficient response to changes in land use and environmental condiƟons. Only an integrated approach to the study of land management and land
monitoring will allow developing effecƟve opƟons for the use of land resources and linking the socio-economic development of the region with the protecƟon of the
state of the environment. An important link in the effecƟveness of the system is also the organizaƟon of the land area, taking into account labor and financial resources,
the proporƟonality of the composiƟon of agricultural land and the producƟon direcƟon of the enterprise, its specializaƟon, a combinaƟon of industries to improve land
use efficiency. It is necessary to talk about the need to bridge the gap between the growing requirements for the efficiency of agricultural land use occupying a significant
territory of the Russian FederaƟon and the limited ability to meet these requirements on the basis of applied planning methods and the organizaƟon of raƟonal land use.
Keywords:
raƟonal land use, agricultural land, land use efficiency, planning, organizaƟon of territories.
