was analyzed.

Generated by He-Ne lasers unmodulated i.e. without phase conversion LICR

intensified just those morphogenesis processes which were expressed even

fa in tly in control (w ithout radiation). For example, 1,5-2-fold increase of

regenerants produced was observed under optimal exposition. Unmodulated

laser irradiation was ine fficien t when callus tissue was characterized by

lack o f visible potency to differentiation, that confirms the ideas about nonself-

e ffic ie n c y o f the b io log ica l action o f exogenous coherent rad ia tion

(Budagovsky, 1995). The attempt to change the structural organization o f

callus tissue w ith low morphogenesis potential by modulated LICR was

undertaken. Calluses o f lea f origin and m icropropagated shoots o f cherry

va rie ty Kharitonovskaya were cocultivated on the medium fo r inducing

morphogenesis. Irradiation according to scheme o f Denisyuktype volume

hologram resulted in interference o f two coherent waves w ith fla t and by

vegetating shoots transformed fronts in callus zone. In callus tissue carrying

out the functions o f recording medium the ir super position has formed the

new d istribu tion o f coherent fie ld (hologram ), reflecting the structural

organization o f shoot differentiated tissues. As a result o f spatial modulated

irradiation proliferating processes were stim ulated in the strictly defin ite

regions o f callus tissueswhich, probably, were initial zone o f morphogenesis.

Only 2 % o f regenerantswere produced in the result o fthe given experiment.

But in control and under the effect o f unmodulated coherent radiation the

development o f shoots from dedifferentiated tissues was not observed. Use

o f the genotype w ith more efficient regenerative ab ility (cherry variety

Zhukovskaya) on MS medium with 4 mg/l BAP and 0,5 mg/l GA allowed the

following number of regenerantto be obtained: control 3,6±2,0%; unmodulated

laser radiation 8,3±5,6%; modulated radiation (hologram) 26,1 ±9,2 %. In the

course o f investigations modulation o f coherent fie ld by d ifferen t tissues

including unrelated genotypes and also by intermediate recording o f hologram

on the photoplate is planned to be realized.
