In this report the results o f 20-years work for creation of native plant cell
cultivation in suspension. This work was conducted by investigators of JSC
"Biochimmash" with some other special scientific, constructor, project,
production and medical institutions.
This data consists of theoretical basis of cell suspension cultivation
scaling from flasks to bioreactors o f great horsepower, experimental
determination and simulation of relation between scaling criteria and biological
properties o f cells, constructive characteristics of bioreactors and cells
cultivation conditions; design of different size reactors; working out and
inculcation experimental and industrial units and complexes on a basis o f
these bioreactors; the development o f different plant cells cultivation
technology. B iochem ical, pharmacological, toxycological and other
industrially necessary properties o f products manufactured on a basis of
plant cell suspension cultures are briefly outlined. Economical efficacy of
these processes is estimated.
The information about creation of medicinal means on a basis of
biologically active substances from plant cell suspension culture carried out
earlier, nowadays and planned for future is presented. This information
demonstrates the advantages and outlook o f plant cell suspension cultures
application fo r radically new or reproducing medicinal means o f vital
importance production.
