o f plants attaches great importans to the study o f lea f photosynthetic
characteristics
in vitro.
Culturing conditions are promote not only to the
effective micropropagation but also to the formation of normal photosynthetic
apparatus, so far as the survival o f regenerated plants depends on it.
Some structure - functional photosynthetic characteristics o f

rooting stage
in d iffe ren t light intensity and also under plantlets adaptation after a
transference to soil were investigated. During
in vitro
culturing the influence
o f light intensity on leaf growth and chlorophyll content per unit o f area was
noted. Under adaptation
in vivo
chlorophyll content per unit of area in leaves
formed after a transference into the soil substrate was higher on 50%
compared to that , which was in leaves formed
in vitro.
Chlorophyll a/
chlorophyll b ratio in both cases was corresponded w ith the characteristics
o f lightdemanding plants. Leaf mesophyll differentiation in palisade and
spongy tissues occured at the age o f 9-10 days in leaves under micro-
propagation as well as in leaves
in vivo.
The cells o f palisade and spongy
mesophyll were differed by the chloroplasts number.
For
in vivo
formed leaves the more intensive increase of chloroplasts
and cells volume to be compared w ith
in vitro
formed leaves was shown.
However, the number of chloroplasts per cell and the number o f mesophyll
layers was the same. The obtained data are testified tha t a normal
photosynthetic apparatus is forming in leaves of
