There studied the morphogenesis specificity of explants (E) o f
hypocotyls, leaves and cotyledons (EH, EL and EC)
in vitro
in eggplant
(Solanum melongena L.) plants (variety Almaz) at the age of 7-10 (I) and 25-
30 (II) days on the Murashige-Skoog medium with the addition of IAA:6-
benzylaminopurine in different combination (mg./litre).
O f all structures formed actively callus. However respectively their age
there was increase of there lethality and decrease of their growth. 80% of
EC formed roots in IAA:6-benzylaminopurine variant (3:1), other combinations
- 30-40%. Variant II EC formed roots only with addition of growth regulators
(2:2,1:3) in isolated cases. EH formed vigorous callus, though its size
decreased a little in II. EH callus roots formed only in variant I on the minimum
medium. With this EH polarization increased by shoot formation on the
upper end and root - on callus ofthe lowerone. When IAA:6-benzylaminopurine
(0.5:2.5) EH developed many shoots on the upper end, on the low e rone -
vigorous callus without roots. With such correlation of regulators in variant II
only callus on the lower end formed.
Development of EL callus was accompanied with root formation within
20-30 % (different variants). EL roots formed mainly when weak callus
development. In separate cases (10-30%) on EL callus a bud formation took
place, better- in variant IAA:6-benzylaminopurine (1:3). When correlation of
growth regulators (2:1) EL root formation within 60-70% was observed even
on adult plant.
In variants o f combinations o f salt stress (NaCI, 1%) and growth
regulators (0.5:2.5) root development of all explants in variants I and II wasn't
watched, though callus development took place. When salt stress high
lethality o f EH was observed. Good survival of EC was accompanied only
with weak callus development.
Dispersion analysis of age and salt stress influence estimation showed
for explants respectively 15% and 30%.
Structure and age differentiation influences morphogenesis specifity
in
vitro
of eggplant explants. Its concrete epigenetic nature needs clearing -
