end o f experiments positive results are obtained. These trees arc resistant to salt and high

temperature. Consequently, they can grow with a minimal water requirement in fields that turned

into desert. It is shown that by this method, preventive measure can be taken against land becoming

desert. For this field it is required to choose the correct tree and shrub types that will adapt

themselves to the soil-climate condition.

A s a,result, it is suggested that to prevent the widely becoming desert process in SB Anatolian

arid parts, the phytomeralation method could be useful.
