lines are formed and experiments arc carried out. At the
end o f experiments positive results are obtained. These trees arc resistant to salt and high
temperature. Consequently, they can grow with a minimal water requirement in fields that turned
into desert. It is shown that by this method, preventive measure can be taken against land becoming
desert. For this field it is required to choose the correct tree and shrub types that will adapt
themselves to the soil-climate condition.
A s a,result, it is suggested that to prevent the widely becoming desert process in SB Anatolian
arid parts, the phytomeralation method could be useful.
