sculpturing is with tiny scabrae on the ridges [7], but usually appears smooth after

preparation. Pollen

Castanea sativa

Mill. are very small, with a major diameter of

10-12 mm. It is tricolporate with long colpi and small pori. The exine is rugulate,

with soft sculpture. Pollen have parameters: P 14-15 / E 9-11 μm, with three ectoap-

ertures (colpus) and three endoapertures (pore) located in the equator. The exine is

thin, approximately 1-2 μm thick, and the surface is regulate [3].

Scanning electron micrographs of pollen grains are illustrated in Figure 1, 2.

Based on the data of base Polleninfo, pollen grains

Corylus avellana

L. char-

acterized: 1) form: round, triangular in polar survey, oval in equatorial survey; 2)

sizes: polar axis 27.3 (25-31) μm, equatorial axis 28.9 (26-31) μm; 3) appertures:

tripolar pollen grains, pores are 2-3 μm in diametr; 4) pollen shell: thin, rough

exine, thin intina with a very large bulge grows regions (lenticular structures); 5)

additional attribute: granular cytoplasm. The data of our measurements of pollen

grains

Corylus avellana

L. are presented in Table 1.
