REGIONAL-SCALE INTERACTION OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE, EDUCATION AND INDUSTRY
ON THE EXAMPLE OF SAMUEL ROBERTS NOBLE FOUNDATION (THE USA)

Strengthening Russian agricultural industry being essenƟal, the need for public informaƟon of producers and con-
sumers is growing together with the requirement of an up-to-date scienƟfic advice accessible to any farmer on de-
mand. Widely known in the United States and abroad, Samuel Roberts Noble FoundaƟon is an example of efficient
management of agricultural consulƟng service on a regional scale, providing competent informaƟon and scienƟfic
support for the agricultural producers of Oklahoma. Its key principles are regional farmer’s priority, informaƟon
accessibility and pracƟcally oriented research. Its most outstanding structural features are the combinaƟon of
fundamental research with applied studies and immediate pracƟcal support offered to the farmers in accordance
with their daily needs. These acƟviƟes are financed out of the organizaƟon founder’s legacy leŌ by the prosper-
ous oilman Lloyd Noble, and state and independent funds’ subsidies and loans. Outsourcing and advice are pro-
vided for the farms in close proximity to the scienƟfic center. InformaƟon service and assistance are guaranteed
both in terms of agriculture and animal husbandry as well as in economy, markeƟng and strategic development
of the farms. Special aƩenƟon is paid to constant feedback from the customers. Constant pracƟcal acƟvity of the
Noble Fund does not interfere with its fundamental invesƟgaƟons. The Fund hosts some of the most world-wide-
ly known research groups studying the essenƟals of symbioƟc relaƟonships between macro- and microorganisms,
of viral plant diseases and the physiology of lipids’ producƟon. Building up the public relaƟonships is not restrict-
ed to regular website updates, numerous print and electronic publicaƟons, tradiƟonal excursions and workshops.
Social media is also effecƟvely used. Among the Fund’s aims providing professional skill development for the pro-
ducers is accompanied by rising consumer awareness and offering career guidance to the young people. Despite
the incontestable differences in the social and economic realiƟes of the two countries, the experience of the No-
ble Fund is of certain interest to the managers of the Russian agricultural advice system.

Приглашает Вас принять участие в работе Международной научно-практической конференции молодых учёных и спе-
циалистов «Эколого-биологические проблемы использования природных ресурсов в сельском хозяйстве»,
которая состоится 12-13 марта 2015 года в Уральском НИВИ по адресу: г. Екатеринбург, пос. Исток, ул. Главная, д. 21.
Основные тематические направления: 1. Экологические проблемы использования природных ресурсов;
2. Кормопроизводство, земледелие и растениеводство;
3. Актуальные проблемы ветеринарной медицины и животноводства.
Для участия в конференции необходимо до 13 февраля 2015 года представить заявку (по прилагаемой форме) и элек-
тронный вариант статьи по адресу: для Шиловой Евгении Николаевны, председателя совета молодых
учёных Уральского НИВИ, с пометкой «Конференция молодых учёных». Название файла должно содержать фамилию пер-
вого автора и первое слово названия статьи.
По итогам конференции будет издан и включён в РИНЦ сборник научных статей. Публикация статей бесплатная. Про-
грамма конференции будет направлена дополнительно. Информация и перечень принятых к публикации статей будут
размещены на сайте конференции, ссылка на который находится на сайте .
