HERBICIDES ON SUNFLOWER
The article presents the results of two s ears researches on use of various systems of
protection of sunflower against weed vegetation in soil climatic conditions of the Azov zone
of the Rostov region. The predominant types of weeds in the experiment were field thistle,
amaranth, ragweed and barnyardgrass. The comparative assessment of biological efficiency of
Evro-Lightning herbicide with two consumption rates, soil herbicide Frontyer Optima and
interrow processing is carried out. The most effective options depending on specific structure
of weeds are defined.

ЗАЩИТА ЯРОВОГО ЯЧМЕНЯ ОТ ВРЕДИТЕЛЕЙ
Отражена значимость ярового ячменя, как одной из продовольственных и фу­
ражных культур, его защита от вредителей при выращивании в Ростовской области. С
учётом агроклиматических условий приазовской зоны на чернозёмах обыкновенных,
получены двухлетние экспериментальные данные на сорте Медикум 157. по степени
вредоносности основных вредителей, а также их распространённость. Установлены ин­
дексы вредоносности по доминирующим вредителям на яровом ячмене с учётом эко­
номического порога вредоносности, проведён их мониторинг, что позволяет грамотно
принимать меры по недопущению развития эпифитотий и недобора урожая.

PROTECTION OF SPRING BARLEY FROM PESTS
The article concerns the importance of spring barley, as one of food and fodder crops,
its protection from pests at cultivation in the Rostov region. Considering the agro-elimatie
conditions of the Azov zone on chernozems ordinary, degrees of injuriousness of the main
pests and their prevalence were studed in two-year experiment for variety Medikum 157. The
injuriousness indexes of dominant pests on spring barley were identified taking into account
an economic threshold of injuriousness. The monitoring has been carried out that allows tak­
ing measures to prevent the development of epiphytoties and loss of the crop.
