The isolate demonstrates amino acid sequence 112 RRQKR-F 117 of F protein cleavage site which is identical to the known motif of Newcastle disease virus virulent patotype. The phylogenetic analysis of F gene coding region has shown that the given isolate belongs to genotype VI subtype VIb genetic lineage VIb/1 which caused Newcastle disease panzootic in pigeons at the beginning of the 80-s of the last century. It has been established also that isolate Pi/Rus/ Kemerovo/762-2/05 possesses the non-described earlier for Newcastle disease virus variant of genome length in 15204 nucleotides. It is associated with the presence of an insertion of 12 nucleotides at the beginning of isolate genome trailer region which is its unique peculiarity. Key words: Newcastle disease virus, serotype 1 avian paramixovirus (APMV- 1), serotype 1 pigeon paramixovirus (PPMV-1), F protein cleavage site, viru- lence, phylogenetic analysis, genome, genotype.
