The detection of FAdV-D genome in pathological material samples using real-time polymerase chain reaction and FAdV-2 antigen using indirect liquid-phase blocking ELISA, recovery of an isolate in chicken LMH hepatoma cell culture and demonstration of specific antibodies in blood sera from chickens of different ages using ELISA made it possible to arrive at a conclusion on the presence of FAdV-D(FAdV-2)-associated adenovirus infection in chickens on the farm.
