Herewith it is worth mentioning that the infection situation aggravates extremely rapidly. Thus in 2007 only one ASF outbreak was reported in the Russian Federation but in 2008 there were 46 outbreaks reported, in 2009 – 54 outbreaks and in 2010 – 77 ASF outbreaks were reported in domestic pigs and wild boars. Although no increase in outbreak number occurred in 2011 (51 out- breaks as of December 23, 2011), the analysis of the epidemic situation is suggestive of the fact that the disease situation in our country has aggravated drastically. Key words : African swine fever, Asfarviridae family, soft ticks Электронная Научная СельскоХозяйственная Библиотека
