Machines and equipment for the complex mechanization of technological processes at poultry enterprises are exhibited on an open area of the Soviet Pavilion. The equipment exhibited here makes it possible to acquaint one­ self with the various types of machine sets and individual machines used in poultry breeding. I. Sets of Equipment for Raising Reproductive Young Stock and for the Upkeep of Ewe and Industrial Flocks of Laying Hens The equipment developed by the Nezhyn Special Design Bureau (Machine Building Plant) is designed to mechanize technologi­ cal processes in poultry operations producing layers for food industry and ewe flocks. The equipment is intended for instal­ lation in poultry houses 18 m wide and up to 120 m long and can accommodate up to 12500 birds. All basic processes are mechanized: feeding and watering; egg collection and conveyance to packing facilities; opening and closing of traps; daily cleaning and removal of manure with subsequent loading of it into transportation means.
