HALL EXHIBITING INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION OF COMBINATED FOOD The basic principle of industrial poultry breeding is high-quality combinated food. There are 767 combinated food enterprises in the Soviet Union at which combinated food and premixes are produced. The quality of the combinated food is tested at the plant labora tories. Elaborated on in the hall is the work of the Orenburg, Novo moskovsk, Kishenev, Nikolayev and Vasilkov combinated food plants. Their capacities range from 400 to 1500 tons a day. A flow sheet of preparing the raw material on the flow line of the combinated food plants is shown. Also on display are the basic raw materials for producing combi nated food, taking into account the zonal features of the country: cereals, pod-bearing plants, oil-bearing plants, grain-processing by-products, food of animal origin, vitamin and mineral food, amino acids, etc. The hall has a display of high-quality friable and granular combinated food for birds of various types and age groups. Shown in this hall is the importance of vegetative albuminous food (Moscow Veterinary Academy, All-Union Research and Technological Institute of Poultry Breeding, All-Union Research Institute of the Poultry-dressing Industry and the Kurtnask Experimental Station). An experiment on the production of vitaminic grass meal in the Lithuanian SSR is also demanstrated. Электронная Научная СельскоХозяйственная Библиотека
